Love the One you're With....

7:00  One of  the market's axioms which everyone acclaims to is: "Don't fall in Love with a stock". I too had chime in to the idiom. However, not anymore. I and probably  I alone now consider it a-ok  to 'do fall in love with a stock'. let me explain. If you purchase a stock, there's probably a reason you 'like' it. If it performs for you, you're likely to 'love' the stock. As the stock continues to perform for you, you tend to 'love' it even more. Then maybe you sell the stock to lock in profits. Then maybe the stock drops but then re-directs and goes forward again. There's no reason not to buy the stock again... and continue to do so again and again... as long as the stock performs for you. You can always divorce the stock if the good price action stops. Lately, certain stocks continue to make me money, continue to perform, even after I had sold
it. I've bought it back and it moves good for me. "I love it". An example has been Telsa TSLA, another BIDU. I make money on these stocks, sell them, and buy them back. As long as they 'perform', I love them and continue to watch them even after I've sold them. take XONE. It has made money for me and has lost money for me..but I still have faith in it..I still Love the stock! Certain stocks...I love.. I keep them on my watch even when I don't own them anymore. It's OK to love a stock... as long as it performs and has good Price action in your favor.

Stocks I'm watching closely for possible action

MGM... continues to move in a positive direction

SSYS....  3D printing , a hot industry.

AAPL.... Icahn kicking some juice on Apple. Apple listening.

QIHU..... I 'love' this stock and currently don't own any...yeeks

HDS...... It failed me once.. do I pounce on it again ?

SBUX..... People actually buy $8.00 coffee cup.. SBUX will sell it to you.

stocks taken off the Watch list..

MON...FRX...TW

All new pictures added to our Vintage section....

8:55am  I'll wait until nine before I dine... probably see how the action is around       9:10am before making a move this morning.

9:01am NTES...bought 100 shr of NTES... please don't tease.

9:20am MSFT. the government has put out a noise warning for Seattle.. amiss all the cheering and claping and joy of Ballmer's retirement announcement.

9:30am  TSLA continues to climb, hitting another high this morning. The TSLA shorts, and there are a lot of them, remained dumbfounded.

9:35am HAIN wasn't the answer. Sold all.

11:03am  Portfolio continues to gain....

11:06am  Sold 15 shrs NFLX for a net profit of $357.00.

12:17pm  The shorts continued to take a pounding...from major hedge fund shorts to individual investor shorts...

12:18 In the meantime our portfolio of stocks and etf continues forward, now up over $10,800 profit.

12:22  Sold PNK.. not the answer either... might revert to old standby winners.

12:28  ...and a good old standby is QIHU.. in for 100 shares.

12:31pm  In the last day or so, I have replaced HAIN and PNK with QIHU and NTES....  I feel much better  about this....

My real account live portfolio (started Mid May 2013) This same portfolio is shown in a larger frame at the end of this posting

Price... follow the Price.. Money does and money flows to where money grows. I don't care about moving averages of any kind or flavor. I have no clue what oversold or overbought means nor do I care. Even volume numbers can be deceptive. I look at Price. Price is the result of the entire spectrum thoughts of those who are buying and selling stocks. Price is true. Price is honest. Price at any given time  provides the result of anyone's and everyone's  analysis, comments, posts, blogs, manipulations, media news, etc etc etc.

I don't have the time or inclination to purchase an entity and see if it's a winner in 5 years. My preference is to find out in 5 minutes. I love to purchase a stock that hits a first time new high, whether  the new high is a 52wk high, a yearly high, an all-time high ..because... the odds are that it's more than likely to continue to hit even more highs. The 'first new high' is likely to be the lowest high.

OK, finally got the MSN Money top 10 portfolio by Jim Jubak. I think it might be fun to watch how this performs. It is NOT MY portfolio, it is just one they think will do well the second half of 2013. So let's see. Of course, I will continue my real account live portfolio as well. The MSN money portfolio started on July 1 and I am prorating the ten stocks with a 'pretend' $10,000 for each stock for a total start of $100,000 and will compare it to the SP 500 by using SPY.
