Winning is  ...      finding Momentum , grabbing it, profiting from it, and then releasing it.

The Daily Log

"Currently sitting on 100 free commission trades, have used 69. I have only 60 days to use the free commission trades from my new broker, flat rate commissions of 3.95 plus.

Thursday:

Portfolio closed Wednesday with another all-time high. Again , like a broken record, the DOW went down and my portfolio holdings ended up Higher. Wednesday gain was over net $500.00. Portfolio overall gain is over $16K.

The experiment following the moves of Elon Musk and Carl Icahn are too time-consuming and taking away from my ongoing watch on price action of stocks on a daily basis. I'm only interested in what Musk and Icahn are buying and selling, the other stuff is just noise, interesting but still just noise. I am no longer keeping a log on Icahn and Musk on this site.

8:00am Will the DOW break it's 5 session losing streak ? I'll be hitting two major estate sales today, so will be in and out. I need to found some new merchandise to replace everything I'm selling at my booth.

8:35  Bought 200 shr NQ
8:36  Bought 100 shr FEYE  fireeye.

10:07 I notice that FB (facebook) and TSLA (Telsa) have hit intra-day ALL TIME HIGHS today ! There's a wag on the mainstream internet peanut gallery that is saying that the  TSLA rally is running on fumes. Let's see what he says when TSLA hits 225.

10:13 Bought 150 shr MDAS. Now need to find out what all the commotion is about?

10:23am  Just can't get enough FB (facebook). Added to position.

10:35  FB IN UNCHARTERED WATERS. NO RESISTENCE

10:45am About ready to take some NFLX off the table. Oh hell, instead,  let's be greedy!

10:49 Portfolio pushing towards a new high water mark..heading towards overall gain of 17K !

11:00am  NO QUIT in NFLX and FB
////////////////////////////////////

11:03am  Looks like I found another gamer in FEYE !

11:06   Got rid of these two losers the other day, RPRX and REXX.. they still losing. It's all about Price Action !

My portfolio continues to kick it !

11:13 Sold NQ.. No need to keep a stock not performing today.

11:37am  Sold YELP for profit. Frees up 5K to be used elsewhere.

11:50am “Successful investors aren’t affected by other people’s feelings. The most empathetic people are the worst investors.” William Bernstein

11:57am  Decided as stated on stocktwits, to take some NFLX off the table. Sold 20 shrs for profit.

12:02pm   It noon here in middle America. Time for a nice lunch.

12:50pm   Yes! No intra-day high for overall gain in portfolio, over 17K!

1:03pm   Wanted to get back into a 3D printer company. Toss up between SSYS and DDD. Bought 100 shr DDD

1:04pm  My understanding is that a large city is drumming up a prayer meeting for all the pain endured by short sellers who got into large cap momentum stocks of late.

3:01 Market closed. Another winning stellar day for our portfolio holdings. All time high closing for my overall portfolio, a  gain of over 17K !

3:19pm NKE (nike) on fire after the bell.

: Annualized rate of return calculation.

It is shown on the first and  last page of the portfolio spreadsheet. It is based on an average portfolio cost basis  of $80,000. More times than not I am below that amount.  My rules as stated at the beginning of our blog site is that I will not have more than $100,000 at risk at any given time and no more than 12 equities in the portfolio.

My annualized return is based on a 365 year, the formula is provided by Google Drive spreadsheet software.
The rate will be calculated each day after market closing.

Price... follow the Price.. Money does and money flows to where money grows. I don't care about moving averages of any kind or flavor. I have no clue what oversold or overbought means nor do I care. Even volume numbers can be deceptive. I look at Price. Price is the result of the entire spectrum thoughts of those who are buying and selling stocks. Price is true. Price is honest. Price at any given time  provides the result of anyone's and everyone's  analysis, comments, posts, blogs, manipulations, media news, etc etc etc.

I don't have the time or inclination to purchase an entity and see if it's a winner in 5 years. My preference is to find out in 5 minutes. I love to purchase a stock that hits a first time new high, whether  the new high is a 52wk high, a yearly high, an all-time high ..because... the odds are that it's more than likely to continue to hit even more highs. The 'first new high' is likely to be the lowest high.

Are you watching the right stocks ?
Did you hear about the NFLX short seller ?

Don't go near the short sellers
